We are currently seeking students who share our commitment to the highest standards of professional performance to participate in our 2020 summer student program in our Edmonton office. Law students who are currently in first year are eligible to apply.
With offices in Winnipeg, Regina, Saskatoon, Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver, MLT Aikins is a leading firm in Western Canada and dedicated to legal excellence and innovative client service.
Our expanded geographic reach and specialized areas of practice provide exceptional learning opportunities for our students. Our summer student program is designed to provide students with practical exposure to the various practice areas within our litigation and corporate law departments.
We provide our summer students with opportunities to experience all areas of legal practice within our firm, and we facilitate direct exposure to our clients.
Our program introduces students to many aspects of the practice of law, including attending questionings, court hearings and client meetings. Students also may gain experience drafting pleadings and commercial agreements and assisting in a variety of commercial transactions.
Students are provided the opportunity to work closely with members of our firm at all levels of seniority. We also encourage our students to attend the many social and community events that our firm organizes and takes part in throughout the year.
