Our established Indigenous practice group is in search of an energetic, motivated and client focused professional to join the team in our Regina, Saskatchewan, office. Candidates should have at least three to five years’ experience in Indigenous law and possess a strong commitment to Indigenous peoples’ self-determination and the advancement of Indigenous legal orders.
Our Indigenous practice group currently serves First Nations, Métis and Inuit governments across Western Canada, advising on a wide variety of legal matters including litigation and negotiations of Aboriginal and treaty rights specific claims, commercial law to advance economic development within Indigenous Nations, lands and land management, labour and employment law, health and child welfare governance, law-making within Indigenous inherent jurisdiction, environmental legislation, and regulatory and administrative law.
The successful candidate will receive close mentorship from senior lawyers within the practice group. As a full-service law firm, we work together as a team to provide the highest level of service excellence to help our Indigenous clients succeed in their goals.
In addition to a proven track record of solid legal ability, we look for strong interpersonal skills, sound judgment and a pragmatic, cost-effective approach to serving our Indigenous clients.
