Saskatchewan to Increase Minimum Wage

Following the annual review of Saskatchewan’s minimum wage, effective October 1, 2017, the minimum wage in Saskatchewan will increase by $0.24/hour from $10.72/hour to $10.96/hour. All provincially-regulated employers with employees paid minimum wage will be required to make the mandatory adjustments by October 1, 2017.

Saskatchewan’s minimum wage is reviewed annually with the revised amount determined by June of each year based upon a combination of the previous minimum wage, the average hourly wage within the Province of Saskatchewan along with annual changes in the consumer price index.
