Vancouver lawyer Andy Chow will attend the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI) World Congress in San Francisco from September 10 – 13.
AIPPI is a global association dedicated to the development and improvement of intellectual property (IP) laws. Its World Congress event attracts more than 2,000 members annually, offering attendees the opportunity to hear from leading IP experts from different countries and exchange insights on various areas of IP law.
Andy is a seasoned patent and trademark lawyer and a registered patent and trademark agent in Canada. He has been an AIPPI member since 2017 and is the current chair of the Canadian Group’s Trademarks Committee for this year’s Study Question on the issue of Trade Marks and the Internet and Social Media.
Andy has litigated IP cases before the Supreme Court of British Columbia, the British Columbia Court of Appeal, the Federal Court of Canada and the Federal Court of Appeal.
