Billie Fortier to Speak at Forward Summit

Calgary lawyer Billie Fortier will speak at the inaugural Forward Summit, a conference aimed at strengthening relationships between Indigenous communities and industry, in Calgary on February 28.

Billie will be part of a panel discussion on inspirational women’s stories. She’ll be joined onstage by successful Indigenous women from across Canada, including Jenn Harper, founder of Cheekbone Beauty; Nicole Robertson, president and chief communications specialist at Muskwa Productions & Consulting; Janice Larocque, president and founder of Spirit Staffing; Krystal Abotossaway, president of the Aboriginal Professional Association of Canada; and Raylene Whitford, director of Canative Energy.

The panel is part of the “Workforce Forward” portion of the summit, which brings together thought leaders from industry and Indigenous communities for a full day of discussion on topics including cultural differences, workforce growth and inclusion.

Forward Summit takes place at the Calgary TELUS Convention Centre from February 26-28, 2019.
