Immigration lawyer Reis Pagtakhan will speak at Converge 2017, a conference hosted by Universities Canada.
The conference, which takes place in Ottawa on February 6-7, brings together thought leaders from across the country as well as future innovators, creators, entrepreneurs and community leaders from Canada’s universities. Discussions throughout the two-day event will aim to answer the question, “What kind of Canada do we want in the next 50 years?”
Reis will speak at the “Open Doors, Open Canada” session on Monday, February 6. This session will explore opportunities to build on and share our nation’s successes in immigration and refugee resettlement, including welcoming student refugees. Reis’s presentation will frame the discussion by reflecting on how Canada can achieve a more open society and consider the role universities play in advancing inclusion and tolerance.
