On June 1, David Filmon was appointed as Chair of CentrePort Canada Inc., North America’s largest inland port.
David was previously CentrePort’s Vice-Chair and served as a member of its governance and nominations committee. Since 2013, he has been the City of Winnipeg’s nominee to the board.
“I look forward to assisting with CentrePort’s continued growth and development,” David said. “More than 1200 acres have been sold or conditionally sold at the inland port in the past 12 months, and the momentum is building. CentrePort is a transformational opportunity for Manitoba, and I’m excited to continue to be part of it.”
CentrePort Canada is a 20,000-acre inland port and Foreign Trade Zone, strategically located in Winnipeg, Manitoba. CentrePort connects to major national and international trade gateways and corridors, and is the only inland port in the country with direct access to tri-modal transportation – extensive truck, rail and air cargo operations.
