MLT Aikins is proud to announce that Saskatoon lawyer Doug Hodson, Q.C is a recipient of CBA Saskatchewan’s 2022 Distinguished Service Award.
The Distinguished Service Award, first presented in 1989, recognizes contributions and/or achievements by members of the Saskatchewan branch to the legal profession, the law or development of the law.
Doug’s practice focuses on commercial litigation and has significant experience in class actions, transportation law and construction litigation. He has argued significant cases before all levels of court in Saskatchewan, Alberta, Manitoba and Ontario and before the Federal Courts and the Supreme Court of Canada.
Doug is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and a fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America. As one of the most distinguished community leaders in Saskatoon, Doug’s volunteer portfolio is diverse and extensive, and includes active involvement with a number of professional, business and social organizations. His significant contributions to his profession and community have been recognized on numerous occasions. He has received the Saskatoon Centennial 100 People, 100 Reasons award, the Saskatchewan Centennial Medal, the CBA SK Community Service Award, and the University of Saskatchewan Alumni Association Humanitarian Award, to name just a few.
CBA Saskatchewan will present a virtual ceremony on January 12, 2022 at 12 p.m. to recognize two recipients of the award.
