Florence Carey Presents at CAGP National Conference

Lawyer Florence Carey’s presentation on “Innovative Gifts and Tax Receipting – Getting it Right”, has been selected for the three-day Canadian Association of Gift Planners (CAGP) National Conference on Strategic Philanthropy at The Fairmont Winnipeg.

Florence’s presentation will build on the legal and regulatory requirements and key issues associated with gift planning, things to consider when evaluating proposed gifts and gifting arrangements, donor recognition strategies and the dissemination of charitable donation receipts.

The AGP prides itself on being the only organization to offer a network where dedicated charitable gift planners and professional advisers can collaborate. This distinctive conference, set to run from April 11-13, will feature inspirational speakers and skilled presenters, who will focus on topics related to the latest practices in strategic charitable gift planning.

The event will feature a pre-conference workshop on the complexities of a rapidly changing future and what it means for Canada’s charitable sector, a pre-course on gift planning fundamentals and how clients can achieve their personal philanthropic goals as well as a memorable tour of Winnipeg’s famous landmarks.

MLT Aikins is pleased to be a silver sponsor at this year’s conference.
