On February 16, Florence Carey will present to the Manitoba chapter of the Canadian Association of Gift Planners (CAGP) on the “Tax Advantages of Planned Gifts.”
A partner practising in the areas of taxation, wealth preservation and estate planning, Florence also has extensive experience working with clients in the charitable sector. Her presentation will provide an intermediate-level overview of the tax advantages of common planned gifts, and explain new rules from the Canada Revenue Agency with regards to charitable estate gifts.
CAGP is a national association that educates people involved in strategic charitable gift planning. The non-profit organization advocates for a beneficial tax and legislative environment to strengthen philanthropic giving, creates a networking environment with like-minded professionals and experts, and provides access to learning opportunities and professional development. CAGP is the only Canadian professional association that brings together charitable fundraisers and professional advisors.
