Lawyer Florence Carey is set to speak at next month’s “Women in Leadership – Making a Difference” conference.
2017 marks the 10th edition of the well-attended event, which takes place in Winnipeg on April 12. Florence’s presentation, “Choosing your Attitude,” focuses on developing emotional agility and a positive outlook in the workplace.
Hosted by FCI-CWI, the full-day conference is well suited for executives, department heads, directors, managers, lawyers, accountants and other professionals who are looking for strategies to become more effective leaders in today’s business environment.
About the Presentation: Choosing your Attitude
We’ve all heard it said that “it’s not just our aptitude but our attitude that determines our success.” Even though many of us may not have control over many things in our professional and personal lives, our attitude is something that we can choose. By developing emotional agility, we can change our attitude, improve our outcomes, and be happier at the same time. This presentation will look at how to change your attitude, including:
- Journaling what is happening in the present
- Recognizing and labeling your emotions
- Shifting your focus and practicing gratitude
