Florence Carey to Moderate Canadian Association of Gift Planners Winnipeg Event

Florence Carey will be the moderator for “The Philanthropic Landscape Reflections and Looking Ahead”, a Canadian Association of Gift Planners (CAGP) Winnipeg event. Florence is an active member of CAGP.

At this event, Harvey Secter, former Chancellor at the University of Manitoba and Honorary Campaign Chair of the “Front and Centre” $500 million campaign, will share some reflections of the past 30 years as a volunteer, donor and fundraiser in Winnipeg and thoughts regarding the future philanthropic landscape.

Following Harvey’s presentation, we will hear perspectives on his comments from:

  • A professional fundraiser, Stephanie Levene, Associate Vice-President (Alumni & Donor Relations) at the University of Manitoba who has worked with a wide array of donors at all levels, and
  • A professional adviser, Patrick O’Connor, President of Blackwood Family Enterprise Services, who assists many high net worth families with their philanthropic planning as part of their wealth and estate planning.

There will be time for conversation among the audience as well.

This event will take place on October 24, 2019 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at The Pavilion Atrium in Assiniboine Park.
