Kristal Allen Joins the Board of Agricultural Manufacturers of Canada

Calgary lawyer Kristal Allen has been appointed to the board of Agricultural Manufacturers of Canada (AMC).

Headquartered in Winnipeg, AMC has more than 250 members – including agricultural manufacturers and their suppliers – across the country. The association aims to advance industry innovation, remove barriers to trade and increase industry collaboration.

“I’m very pleased to join the board of AMC and look forward to working with an impactful organization that advocates on behalf of agricultural manufacturers across the country,” said Kristal, who will serve as Chair of AMC’s Associate Members Committee.

In recent years, AMC has advocated for a number of initiatives, including addressing labour shortages and supply chain disruptions, updating the Copyright Act and extending the capital cost allowance deduction for manufacturing equipment.

According to a statement from AMC, the agricultural manufacturing sector exports more than $2.4 billion in goods a year to 149 countries.
