We are pleased to welcome associate tax lawyer Scott McCamis to the firm’s Edmonton office.
Scott focuses his practice in the area of taxation. He provides counsel on tax planning for public and private entities and investment funds, corporate reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions, and tax dispute resolution. Scott has experience drafting and reviewing various business agreements, resolving taxpayer disputes with Canada Revenue Agency, and assisting with tax litigation.
Called to the Manitoba Bar in 2008 and the Alberta Bar in 2015, he is continuously expanding his interest in tax law. Scott has completed Tax Law for Lawyers and levels 1-3 of the In-Depth Tax Course, and has written and presented on a number of tax-related topics.
Before joining MLT Aikins, Scott practised with a regional tax law firm and worked at our predecessor firm Aikins, MacAulay & Thorvaldson as an articling student and tax associate.
