Manitoba Growth, Enterprise and Trade has appointed Todd Thomson as presiding member of the Surface Rights Board.
The province of Manitoba made the announcement on August 7, 2018. The Surface Rights Board, established under the Surface Rights Act, acts as an independent, quasi-judicial board that arbitrates and mediates disputes among land owners, occupants and holders of oil and gas rights in connection with rights of entry or compensation for the use of surface rights.
Todd is a partner at MLT Aikins and is focused primarily in the areas of corporate and commercial, mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance/securities law.
