Trademark agent Mihaela Dumitrean will discuss new tips and tricks for grouping goods and services of a trademark at an upcoming webinar hosted by the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada (IPIC).
On June 17, Mihaela will present at the Trademark Administration: Classification of Goods and Services webinar, offering insights on the classification of goods and services for pending, registered or renewed trademarks.
The Canadian Intellectual Property Office (CIPO) now requires all new trademark applications to have a NICE Classification, and trademark owners must classify their existing registrations upon renewal.
Mihaela will offer an overview of how to classify existing registrations, and what to watch out for when classifying lengthy goods and services descriptions. She’ll also discuss the CIPO’s Goods and Services Manual, as well as considerations for foreign and international registrations.
IPIC, a professional association for trademark agents, patent agents and lawyers practising in intellectual property (IP) law, regularly hosts educational sessions for IP practitioners.
Mihaela has extensive experience helping clients navigate trademark registration procedures in Canada and the United States.
