On November 18, members of the MLT Aikins Winnipeg office participated in the 2020 Move For a Cure for JDRF.
The scheduled in-person Pedal for a Cure events for 2020 were cancelled due to COVID-19. Instead, JDRF went virtual for the event and provided a series of high-energy Move for a Cure options for participants to engage in at home via an online platform. Participants had the option to choose to spin on a stationary bike, break a sweat at a fitness class or stretch in a yoga class. The virtual events combined team building and friendly competition among professionals across Canada in efforts to raise funds towards curing type 1 diabetes.
The MLT Aikins team surpassed their goal of $2,500 and raised $3,179 to support Type 1 diabetes.
