On July 19, lawyer Rachel Margolis was appointed to the Manitoba Film and Music Board (MFM) in Winnipeg.
The announcement, made by Sport, Culture and Heritage Minister Cathy Cox, outlined that the board is dedicated to delivering programs that both contribute to Manitoba’s economy, and use the province as a production centre and music hub.
MFM is a statutory corporation that supports film and music initiatives within Manitoba. Its objectives are to “create, stimulate, employ and invest in Manitoba by developing and promoting Manitoba companies,” through program delivery and administration, marketing, advocacy, sponsorship and industry support.
Rachel previously served as a board member for the Manitoba Music Board, Freeze Frame Manitoba, On Screen Manitoba and Food Banks Canada. She has also been recognized as leading lawyer in the Entertainment category in Lexpert directories for 2018.
