Scott Davidson of Calgary is one of a group of former members of the Patent Agent Examining Board training aspiring new Patent Agents as an instructor for the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada. He recently participated as a presenter for a webinar to help prepare students to write Papers B and D of the Patent Agent Exam. Observes Davidson, “IPIC has high standards for its members to ensure the public is well served by those registered to be patent or trade-mark agents. It is important for experienced practitioners and agents to contribute to the maintenance of these standards by volunteering as examiners and instructors.”
