Ola is a student-at-law in the firm's Regina office. She was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2010.
Ola obtained her law degree from the University of Lagos, Nigeria, in 2009 and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2010. She started her legal career as a junior associate in a civil litigation firm in Lagos where she researched and drafted various court processes, appeared for and handled trials at the various courts in Nigeria, interfaced with regulatory bodies on behalf of clients and provided company secretarial services.
In 2015, Ola found her niche for corporate law and moved to a national law firm in Lekki, Lagos, Nigeria, where she practiced as a corporate/commercial lawyer until she moved to Canada in 2017. At the firm, she worked with diverse clientele on transactions cutting a wide range of industries and practice groups. She provided day-to-day guidance and corporate advisory services, conducted legal risk assessments, negotiated contracts, advised on corporate restructuring of various corporations, drafted and reviewed documents and co-ordinated multinational transactions.
Ola joined MLT Aikins as a corporate paraprofessional in 2020 until she completed her qualifying exams and received a Certificate of Qualification from the National Committee on Accreditation – Federation of Law Societies of Canada in 2022. She has now transitioned from being a paralegal with the firm to an articling student.
