Tessa maintains a general corporate commercial practice with a focus on commercial real estate.
Tessa works regularly with commercial clients, including developers and financial institutions, in the acquisition, disposition, development and leasing of commercial real estate and strata property. She has assisted a number of clients, including restaurants and cannabis retailers, in leasing commercial properties, and is highly skilled at preparing and reviewing commercial leases.
Tessa also has experience in corporate/commercial law, particularly in mergers and amalgamations of credit unions and other financial institutions.
Tessa graduated from the University of Calgary’s Faculty of Law in 2017. During her time at law school, she was involved with various groups, including Pro Bono Students Canada, the Calgary Women Studying Law Association and the Faculty of Law’s Student Ambassador Program. In the summers during law school, she worked for a boutique real estate law firm and a commercial real estate investment firm.
Prior to attending law school, Tessa studied international relations at the University of St. Andrews.
