Seth practises in the areas of corporate and taxation law with a focus on mergers and acquisitions and reorganizations.

Seth has wide-ranging experience assisting individuals and businesses with tax planning. He regularly advises clients on effectively structuring their businesses and transactions in a tax-efficient manner. He focuses on providing timely quality service, advising individuals and businesses on their unique issues.

Seth obtained his Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School, where he focused his studies on tax law and advocated for low-income individuals at Osgoode’s Tax Dispute Clinic.

  • Counsel to the first share acquisition of an Optometry Corporation in Manitoba
  • Merger and acquisition transaction experience with representing buyers and sellers in transactions providing full carriage assistance from prospective regulation research, advanced corporate tax structure planning and negotiation and documentation of the commercial transaction leveraging specialized experience of the team members at MLT Aikins to provide optimal representation to clients throughout each unique transaction
  • Counsel to private corporations with respect to mergers, acquisitions, business structuring and tax planning
  • Implemented corporate arrangements with experience in negotiation and preparation of unanimous shareholders’ agreements and partnership agreements
  • Experience in representing borrower groups to lender financing in connection with transactions
  • Works collaboratively with clients and their advisors to develop and implement an estate plan, including the preparation and advice on wills, powers of attorneys, health-care directives, spousal trusts, and young beneficiary trusts
  • Counsel to business owners with succession planning, including tax planning on exit and transition strategies to the next generation
