We are looking for an associate with a minimum of three years of relevant experience to join our thriving corporate and mergers and acquisitions practice and be based in our Winnipeg office.
Our practice is characterized by collegiality, client service and a strong commitment to Western Canada, its business opportunities and its future. Our area of mergers and acquisitions law includes mergers, acquisitions, takeovers, divestitures, reorganizations and leveraged and management buy-outs.
Our ideal candidate is an enthusiastic corporate mergers and acquisitions lawyer with the ability to work independently and as part of a team, strong interpersonal skills, sound judgment, effective practice management skills and a pragmatic approach to serving clients. We are interested in candidates at all levels of experience.
The ideal candidate will also have experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Banking and corporate finance
- Corporate reorganizations
- Corporate governance
The successful lawyer would receive close mentorship from senior lawyers within the practice group. As a full-service law firm, we work together as a team to provide the highest level of service excellence to help our clients succeed in their goals.
Qualifications include:
- A minimum of three years of relevant corporate mergers and acquisitions experience
- Strong work ethic and strong professional and academic credentials
- Effective communicator with excellent interpersonal and client service skills
- Good computer skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines with excellent problem solving skills
