Adam Levene Named Chair of MLT Aikins

The executive board of MLT Aikins is pleased to announce that Adam Levene has been named the new chair of the firm.

Adam, a partner in the firm’s Winnipeg office and a practice group coordinator for the Winnipeg business law group, has sat on the MLT Aikins executive board since 2017.

“Adam is one of the most recognized lawyers in the firm and has been a valued contributor to our executive board and his local community ” said Aaron Runge, managing partner of MLT Aikins. “We’re excited about the experience and passion he’ll bring to his new role as chair.”

Adam practises in taxation, mergers and acquisitions, and trusts and estate planning. He is a sought-after adviser to clients on corporate governance, tax planning and business succession, and has been recognized as a leading practitioner in corporate tax law by the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory. Earlier this year, Adam helped launch the MLT Aikins regulated professionals practice group.

Outside the office, Adam is a leader in his community, having served as president of the Jewish Federation of Winnipeg as well as chair of its annual campaign, which raised over $6.2 million, and chair of Winnipeg Habitat for Humanity Inc. He also chaired the Manitoba Bar Association Tax Subsection and served as director of the Estate Planning Council of Winnipeg.
