Jana Linner was recognized by Client Choice Awards 2020 as the exclusive winner in the Public Law category for Canada: Alberta.
Established in 2005, Client Choice recognizes those law firms and partners around the world that stand apart for the excellent client care they provide and the quality of their service. The criteria for this recognition focus on an ability to add real value to clients’ business above and beyond the other players in the market. Uniquely, law firms and partners can only be nominated by corporate counsel. There were more than 2,500 nominations this year.
Jana focuses on labour and employment and human rights law, representing public and private sector employers in a wide variety of industries. She provides practical strategic advice on all matters relating to federal and provincial labour and employment law, including, among other issues, collective agreement negotiation and interpretation, employment standards, the drafting and implementation of employment contracts and workplace policies, advising on disciplinary matters and terminations, navigating human rights, harassment and accommodation situations, and defending employers facing litigation. She regularly acts for unionized and non-unionized employers and has extensive experience representing rural and urban municipalities on labour and employment matters.
