MLT Aikins is pleased to announce that Jana Linner, a partner in our Regina office, has been named a “Lexpert Rising Stars: Leading Lawyers Under 40 Awards” winner.
The Lexpert Rising Stars Awards recognize and honour the contributions of lawyers under the age of 40 throughout Canada to their firm, the legal profession and the larger community. Winners are selected by an advisory board of lawyers from across the country.
Jana is a leading labour and employment and human rights law lawyer in Saskatchewan, representing public and private sector employers for work related to mining, manufacturing, construction, municipalities, health care, non-profits and retail, among others.
“Jana has a particular aptitude for addressing complicated workplace and human rights issues – she is a solutions-oriented legal adviser who approaches legal issues with comprehensive advice and creative solutions,” said MLT Aikins managing partner, Aaron Runge. “We are proud of and congratulate Jana on this outstanding achievement and on her many contributions to the success of our clients and our firm.”
Jana’s commitment to the legal profession is most recently highlighted by her election to the Executive Committee of the Canadian Bar Association, Saskatchewan Branch.
Jana is also a strong leader and advocate in the community for youth sports. As a past National Champion with the University of Regina Women’s Basketball team, Jana is committed to giving back to the community and has a strong focus on mentoring and empowering young women. “I am always looking for opportunities to give back to a community that has given me so much. I believe that if we empower our youth through strong female role models, it will lead to more diversity in the workplace and women in management.”
