MLT Aikins Joins Pride at Work Canada’s Roster of Proud Partners

In honour of Pride Month, MLT Aikins is proud to announce its partnership with Pride at Work Canada (PaWC).

PaWC is a leading non-profit organization dedicated to helping employers build safe and inclusive workplaces that celebrate all employees regardless of their gender expression, gender identity and sexual orientation, through dialogue, education and thought leadership.

“We’re excited to partner with Pride at Work Canada and the wealth of knowledge and resources that it affords our firm,” said Aaron Runge, managing partner. “A diverse and inclusive workplace increases job satisfaction and drives innovation which, in turn, enhances client service. I have also personally benefitted immeasurably in my role from the added perspective that comes with the diverse group of colleagues that comprise our team.”

As one of PaWC’s Proud Partners, MLT Aikins receives access to benefits and services that support strategies for inclusion on the basis of gender expression, gender identity and sexual orientation. The partnership also provides our firm with learning, networking and personal development opportunities, offers for community events and a job board that helps to increase the visibility of career opportunities for 2SLGBTQ+ persons.

Also in celebration of Pride, we were pleased to welcome keynote speaker Mark Tewksbury for our Celebrating Pride Month event. Mark Tewksbury is the first openly gay Canadian Olympian. In 1998, Mark was instrumental in sparking a national conversation on sexual orientation in sport.

Our partnership with Pride at Work Canada is one important step within the firm’s broader DEI initiative. Learn more about it.
