MLT Aikins is pleased to welcome Sierra Heisler to the firm’s Edmonton office.
Sierra is a corporate/commercial lawyer and her practice focuses on commercial real estate law, corporate law and municipal law matters. She has particular knowledge and experience in relation to commercial leasing (representing both landlords and tenants), real property purchases and sales, property development and real estate financings. She has appeared before the Subdivision and Development Appeal Board and the Land and Property Rights Tribunal.
Sierra also advises clients on a broad range of corporate/commercial matters, including share and asset purchase and sale transactions, financings, unanimous shareholder agreements, joint ventures, strategic partnerships and other project-related agreements.
Prior to joining MLT Aikins, Sierra practiced at international law firms in both Edmonton and Calgary. She also completed secondments to: a national retail company where she negotiated and drafted numerous offers to lease, leases, lease renewals and extensions and rent concession agreements; the regulatory department of an Alberta electrical utility company where she provided regulatory advice; and a national insurance company where she assisted with various day-to-day corporate matters.
