Conrad has 30 years of experience practising as a general commercial litigator.
Conrad practises primarily in the area of commercial litigation. He has extensive experience negotiating contracts and resolving complex commercial disputes by taking a practical, results-oriented approach. His work extends to advising on commercial contracts, intellectual property claims, tax litigation, banking, construction and property claims, disputes over pension funds and compensation, investors’ claims and insurance-related issues, particularly those dealing with business losses.
Conrad has represented clients across a broad range of industries, in all manner of actions before superior courts, the Federal Court and the Supreme Court of Canada.
Prior to returning to MLT Aikins, Conrad served as chief legal officer for the Brandt Group of Companies. As the first ever chief legal officer for the organization, he was responsible for establishing the Brandt Legal Department including policies, procedures and staffing.
Conrad was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 2014.
