Haley Stearns is an associate lawyer based out of the firm’s Regina office. Haley practises broadly in civil litigation and labour and employment law.

Haley completed her articles at MLT Aikins after summering with the firm in 2019 and 2020. She obtained her Juris Doctor in 2021 from the University of Saskatchewan. During law school she worked as a research assistant in the area of administrative law where she worked on a project assessing the use of risk assessment tools in making corrections and release decisions. Haley participated in the Laskin moot court competition in Canadian administrative and constitutional law, and was on the winning team for the 2021 SKAEL Environmental Law moot. Haley was on the Dean’s Forum on Access to Justice and Dispute Resolution, where she contributed to justice policy by researching and making recommendations for limited license practitioner pilot projects in Saskatchewan.

Haley is dedicated to gaining experience through volunteer work and giving back to the local community. She has volunteered for Pro Bono Students Canada in various capacities and currently serves as a board member for the Cathedral Area Co-operative Daycare. Prior to law school she studied Business Administration at the University of Regina.
