Jacob is an articling student based in the firm’s Regina office.

Jacob obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of Saskatchewan in 2023. He returns to the Regina office as an articling student after summering with the firm in 2021 and 2022. As a summer student, Jacob gained experience conducting legal research, writing legal memoranda and assisting in the preparation of a variety of legal documents, including briefs of law and pleadings.

Throughout all three years of law school, Jacob volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada (PBSC) and became the project lead in his final year. He was honoured with the Chief Justice Richard Wagner Award for the Saskatchewan Chapter which recognizes exemplary leadership and commitment to PBSC’s mission.

Additionally, Jacob was a co-director and two-time volunteer for Legal Follies, the College’s annual talent show fundraiser.

Prior to entering law school, he completed a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Regina. He majored in management with a concentration in finance.

Jacob has experience as a dispute resolution facilitator with the Saskatchewan Ministry of Justice where he gained significant insight into conflict mediation. In addition, Jacob has experience as a legal research assistant at the College of Law in conjunction with the National Right to Housing Network and the Canadian Centre for Housing Rights.

Outside of the office, Jacob is an active participant in powerlifting and has achieved multiple provincial records. He also greatly enjoys hiking, hunting, fishing in the outdoors, flag football and he loves his dogs.
