More about me
Kayla obtained her Juris Doctor at the University of Calgary in 2024. During law school, she partook in an intensive program in the Yukon that focused on Indigenous self-governance and modern treaties. She also participated in the Kawaskimhon National Aboriginal Moot, a mooting event that integrates Indigenous legal traditions with various legal frameworks and emphasizes consensus-based dispute resolution. Kayla served as the consent project team lead for Pro Bono Students Canada and spent a semester studying in Austria to broaden her international legal perspective. She spent the last two summers as a summer student with the firm.
Prior to entering law school, Kayla completed a Bachelor of Commerce with distinction at the University of Calgary, where she captained the Dinos Women’s Soccer team.
