Jennifer Goncalves is the Team Lead of the Commercial Financing and Real Estate Department, a role she assumed in 2026. In this position, she provides leadership and strategic oversight for complex commercial lending and real estate matters across Manitoba, while supporting the continued growth and development of the paralegal team. She is an experienced commercial real estate and financing paralegal with a strong focus on commercial lending and commercial real estate transactions.

Jennifer is a trusted leader within the firm and a go-to resource for both lawyers and paralegals, recognized for her attention to detail, practical problem-solving and consistently high standard of work. She began her legal career in 2006 as a legal assistant with MLT Aikins and, after years of hands-on experience and professional growth, became a paralegal in 2018.
Her practice is rooted in due diligence, commercial lending and commercial real estate transactions, with particular strength in navigating complex and nuanced land titles issues. Jennifer has led and overseen numerous large-scale projects involving Manitoba’s Personal Property Registry and Land Titles filings, bringing clarity and efficiency to even the most challenging matters.
Jennifer balances hands-on transactional work with a leadership role on complex and multi-jurisdictional financing matters. She is proactive in identifying potential issues, helping clients manage risk and avoid unexpected costs, and works closely with colleagues across the firm’s western offices to ensure efficient and well-coordinated closings.
