Josh Krane to speak at CBA Competition Law Fall Conference in Ottawa

On Thursday, November 20, MLT Aikins lawyer Josh Krane will speak at the 2025 Canadian Bar Association Competition Law Fall Conference in Ottawa, Ontario.
Josh will be moderating Land Ho! a panel that will discuss the emergence of restrictive covenants and exclusivity in commercial leases as an enforcement priority, the use of algorithms for rent setting and recently-initiated investigations and litigation, and the U.S. National Association of Realtors settlement and the follow-on investigation and class actions in Canada, as well as analysis of market shares in real estate-related merger reviews. Panel speakers will include Beatrice Franklin (Susman Godfrey LLP), Max Liu (Competition Bureau Canada) and Kate McNeece (Goodmans LLP).
The session will be of particular interest to in-house counsel as they consider the implications of recent developments on their organizations’ real estate interests.
