“We’re absolutely thrilled to bring Activate to Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland,” states Adam Schmidt, CEO of Activate. “These countries are renowned for their love of active, outdoor lifestyles, and we believe Activate’s unique combination of physical challenges and immersive gaming will resonate perfectly with this new audience in Northern Europe. Our partnership with ReaIinvest is pivotal to this expansion, enabling us to introduce a fresh, dynamic experience to the Scandinavian market.”

Activate’s immersive arenas combine physical activity with digital gameplay, offering a high-energy experience where players complete real-life challenges in technology-enhanced game rooms.

Activate’s first Scandinavian expansion, located in Norway, is set to open in early 2025, with further additional locations to come in Finland, Denmark and Sweden. With growing demand for experiential entertainment, the partnership between Activate and Realivest positions both companies at the forefront of this evolving sector.

MLT Aikins, led by Catlin Bouché, was pleased to act as legal counsel to Activate on this cross-border transaction. The firm provided strategic advice on licensing, international structuring and commercial terms to support Activate’s expansion into the Scandinavian market.

Caitlin practises corporate and commercial law with particular focus on the purchase and sale of businesses, commercial leases, commercial financing and commercial real estate transactions.
