Winnipeg lawyer Ian Scarth has been appointed to a second term as president of the Manitoba Bar Association.
Ian is only the second lawyer since 1937 to serve two terms as MBA president. He was first appointed to the role in December 2020. His second term began on September 1, 2021, and runs through August 31, 2022.
“It’s an honour to be appointed to a second term as president of the MBA,” Ian said. “I’m humbled by the opportunity and look forward to the year ahead.”
Ian focuses his practice on estate litigation, insurance, debt collection and foreclosure. He has appeared before all levels of court in Manitoba and Alberta, as well as various administrative tribunals in Manitoba.
