MLT Aikins associate Jennifer Sokal was recently elected by members of the Manitoba Bar Association (MBA) to represent the MBA Council membership from September 2023 to August 2025.
This is Jennifer’s third time as an elected MBA Council member, having previously been elected as the Robson Hall law student representative from 2016-2017 and articling student representative from 2019-2020.
Jennifer maintains a commercial and civil litigation practice, with a focus on administrative and regulatory law, construction litigation and insurance litigation. Her experience includes professional liability and regulation, workplace health and safety, agricultural supply management and regulatory compliance generally. Jennifer has appeared before various tribunals and administrative bodies, all levels of Court in Manitoba, the Saskatchewan Court of Queen’s Bench and the British Columbia Supreme Court.
