Jessica Jensen elected to the American Immigration Lawyers Association’s Board of Governors

On November 9, 2023, MLT Aikins lawyer Jessica Jensen was elected to the National Board of Governors of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA).

Jessica has been elected to hold one of the three elected director vacancies on the organization’s Board of Governors that became available. She was one of 38 candidates considered by the role and was elected by majority. Jessica’s new position is effective until the AILA’s next annual meeting on June 13, 2024.

Based in Winnipeg, Jessica practises in U.S. and Canadian immigration law. She began her legal career at a law firm in Minnesota, where she started as a law clerk in 2014 before becoming an associate lawyer in 2015, focusing on family and immigration law.

Jessica maintains a Foreign Legal Consultant permit from the Law Society of Manitoba, allowing her to practise U.S. law in Manitoba. She is a member in good standing of the Manitoba, Minnesota and North Dakota Bars, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.
