Alexandre practises in the firm’s litigation department with a focus on construction litigation, insurance, professional liability, agribusiness, and securities litigation, as well as international trade and regulatory compliance.

Educated at McGill University’s Faculty of Law, Alexandre is a knowledgeable litigator with substantial experience in trial advocacy, injunctive relief and case management pleadings. He appears regularly before courts of first instance and appellate courts. Alexandre understands the challenges presented by litigation, and knows that a successful result must also be cost-effective. Alexandre’s practice has allowed him to develop knowledge of and familiarity with the construction and agribusiness industries, and with general corporate practices. This knowledge and familiarity helps him respond to clients’ needs as they arise. He is able to advance creative and effective solutions to resolve challenges facing clients, while also taking efficient and cost-effective steps to advance matters through litigation.

With three years’ experience working on regulatory compliance in Asia, Alexandre is able to meet the unique needs of diverse clientele faced with cross-border challenges, including matters related to international trade and anti-money laundering. He assists his clients in understanding the risks and challenges involved in international transactions and regularly advises on Canadian trade and sanction legislation, such as the Special Economic Measures Act and its Regulations, the United Nations Act, the Corruption of Foreign Public Officials Act and the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act.

In addition to being fluent in English and French, Alexandre is conversant in Spanish and is accredited HSK2 in Mandarin.
