Amy is an associate with the firm’s business group practising in the area of corporate/commercial law, with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance. She has experience working with local, national and international businesses in a vast array of industries.

  • Merger, acquisition and securities transactions involving local, national and international businesses, experience advising buyers and sellers in large-, mid- and small-market transactions, including cross-border transactions
  • Debt and equity private placements
  • Shareholder buyouts pursuant to shotgun buy-sell provisions in shareholder/partnership agreements
  • Implementation of structures for new investments and representation of investors in establishing their relationships, including preparation and negotiation of shareholders’ agreements and partnership agreements
  • Institutional and private lender financing transactions, with experience representing lenders and borrower groups in connection with transaction
  • Counsel to Cando Rail Services Ltd. on an equity investment by Torquest Partners
  • Counsel to Cando Rail & Terminals Ltd. on the sale to Alberta Investment Management Corporation
