For the second year in a row, MLT Aikins is proud to be the title sponsor of the third-annual Western Canadian Economic Forum (WCEF) in January 2026. The Forum, hosted in Winnipeg, Manitoba, this year, will take place on January 22, 2026, at the Fairmont Hotel, followed by invite-only leadership roundtable discussions on January 23.

Key themes and discussion points for WCEF 2026 include:

  • Western Canada’s economic outlook and growth trajectory – Examine demographic trends, investment patterns and provincial strategies influencing the region’s economic direction
  • Interprovincial trade and global market access – Explore how federal policy, investment and intergovernmental collaboration can support market access and long-term stability for the West
  • Western issues, public sentiment and political realities – Shed light on Western viewpoints, regional tensions and the policy implications of shifting political dynamics at both federal and provincial levels

WCEF 2026 will also introduce two new initiatives at this year’s Network Reception, sponsored by MLT Aikins: IMPACT 100, an annual ranking of the 100 largest companies in Western Canada, and The West20, a recognition program highlighting emerging leaders in economic development across the region.

Tickets to the 2026 WCEF are available now in limited supply – visit the WCEF website to purchase your tickets.
