MLT Aikins is pleased to welcome four new associate lawyers to the firm’s offices in Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary and Saskatoon.

Zaira Petruf is a corporate and commercial lawyer with the firm’s Vancouver office whose practice includes advising on corporate reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions and strategic business transactions. She works with both private and public companies across a range of industries, including mining, technology, financial services and aviation. Her work is informed by experience with tax and dispute-resolution considerations, enabling her to identify regulatory and risk issues early and support practical, commercially-sound outcomes in complex matters. She has experience assisting with matters affecting Indigenous businesses and organizations, and brings a thoughtful, solutions-oriented approach to client service.

Benjamin Folarin is an experienced litigation lawyer with the firm’s Edmonton office who has worked at all stages of the litigation process. He has run multiple Provincial and Supreme Court trials and been responsible for more than 150 litigation files from pleadings to trial. He has worked on catastrophic personal injury, property, construction, liquor and host liability, municipal, employment, product liability, contract disputes, privacy and shareholder disputes.

Erinn Wilson is an insolvency and restructuring lawyer with the firm’s Calgary office. Committed to supporting clients as they navigate complex challenges, Erinn has a wide range of experience with insolvency and restructuring matters, including experience acting for lenders, debtors and court officers. Her practice also includes banking and commercial lending, acting predominantly for lenders in large-scale corporate finance transactions.

Madison Kuprowski maintains a general corporate and commercial practice with the firm’s Saskatoon office, handling a breadth of matters, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, commercial agreements and other transactions. She clerked at the Alberta Provincial Court, where she gained a valuable understanding of the varied approaches to legal matters.
