The Saskatchewan Police Commission has announced its new leadership for 2026, which includes MLT Aikins partner John Agioritis, K.C., who has been appointed as a Commission Member. John will serve alongside Chairperson Aaron Fox, K.C., Vice-Chairperson, Kelly Canham and fellow Members Randy Pshebylo and Leanne Lang, K.C.

The Saskatchewan Police Commission works with police services and boards of police commissioners to promote effective policing throughout the province. The Commission also promotes crime prevention and the improvement of police relationships with communities.

About John

John was called to the Saskatchewan Bar in 2004 and the Alberta Bar in 2021. He is the Advocacy Practice Group Leader in Saskatoon and a member of MLT Aikins LLP Executive Board.

John assists corporate clients in navigating regulatory investigations and matters of compliance, risk and crisis response, with a significant emphasis on occupational health and safety law, as well as environmental matters, tax and competition law.

Throughout his career, John has appeared before numerous courts and tribunals, including the Provincial Court of Saskatchewan, the Saskatchewan Court of King’s Bench, the Saskatchewan Court of Appeal and the Tax Court of Canada. He is widely recognized for his ability to guide clients through complex, high-stakes regulatory investigations, trials and appeals.
