MLT Aikins is pleased to announce the return of lawyer Kayla Míguez to the firm. Kayla articled in the Vancouver office and will be based in Ottawa as the newest member of the firm’s Competition/Antitrust, Investment and Trade group.
Kayla joins the firm with a wealth of legal and applied health ethics experience, and is a frequent presenter and published researcher, having authored a number of peer-reviewed papers. In 2026, Kayla completed her Master of Health Ethics from Memorial University, as well as a Professional Intensive in Artificial Intelligence and Law from Queen’s University. Kayla has experience across a range of clinical and healthcare environments including work on a variety of health law matters.
Kayla obtained her combined Juris Doctor and Bachelor of Civil Law from McGill University in 2021. Prior to entering law school, she earned her Master of Science in exercise/muscle physiology and Bachelor of Science in kinesiology with honours from McGill University.
