April completed her Juris Doctor in 2024 at the University of Manitoba’s Robson Hall law school. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of Winnipeg, graduating on the Dean’s List as a student of highest distinction in 2019.
During law school, she was recognized for her strong negotiation skills and competed in the 2023 Robson Hall law school negotiation competition. As a summer student at Oceans North legal department, she conducted legal research on natural resource extraction in Nunavut for the non-profit organization.
