MLT Aikins is pleased to welcome Christine Dimitrov to the firm as an associate lawyer in the firm’s Vancouver office, where she joins the Trusts, Estates & Legacy Planning team.
Christine works with individuals, families and business owners to develop tailored estate and succession plans that reflect their values and long-term goals. Her practice includes business succession planning, multijurisdictional estate planning and wealth preservation strategies. She regularly prepares wills, multiple wills, and both inter vivos and testamentary trusts, and advises on incapacity planning and multi-generational transitions. Christine collaborates closely with professionals across jurisdictions to support clients with assets in Canada and abroad.
She also advises on estate and trust administration, guiding executors, trustees and beneficiaries through the legal and practical steps of administering estates. Her background includes experience in estate litigation, including contested trusteeship applications, will challenges and disputes involving powers of attorney and joint accounts.
Christine was called to the Alberta bar in 2018 and the British Columbia bar in 2022. She holds the Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) designation from STEP Canada and is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Canada and the Estate Planning Council of Vancouver.
