Alain Gaucher

Alain is a leading lawyer with extensive experience in the areas of personal and business succession planning, high net worth estate planning, corporate tax and shareholder agreements. Alain works with a broad client base of individuals, small- to medium-sized enterprises and large corporations to produce business structures and processes that are as tax efficient as possible. He has extensive experience with provincial, national and international tax issues, and also provides tax litigation advice in disputes with the Canada Revenue Agency.

Stathy Markatos

Stathy advises clients on general corporate and commercial matters, with a focus on M&A, venture and private capital and securities law. He has experience with public offerings, private placements, continuous disclosure and corporate governance matters. He has acted as counsel on the formation and capital raising for numerous investment funds.  He also has acted for buyers, sellers and target companies on significant  M&A transactions, including transactions in the agribusiness, agri-tech, manufacturing, equipment sales, financial services and energy sectors.

Aaron Runge

Aaron serves as managing partner of the firm. Prior to his appointment as managing partner, Aaron’s practice focused on mergers and acquisitions, venture and private capital, corporate finance and securities law. Aaron has acted for buyers, sellers and target companies on several significant domestic and international M&A transactions.

Todd Rosenberg

Todd advises corporations, partnerships, pensions and individuals on tax efficient ownership structures, real estate transactions, tax loss utilization transactions, complex trust and estate planning, and the tax implications of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, financing and corporate restructuring. He also deals extensively with provincial, national and international tax issues, and provides tax litigation advice on disputes with the Canada Revenue Agency.
