Commercial Real Estate

  • Acted for vendors and purchasers in commercial real estate transactions in excess of 180 million  
  • Drafted complex offers to purchase for various types of land acquisitions and divestitures in Western Canada  
  • Acted for developers of multi-family, industrial, retail office and other commercial properties 
  • Lead counsel for real estate investment trust  

Banking and Commercial Lending

  • Acted for an agribusiness company in connection with credit facilities of $375 million
  • Acted for a chartered bank in a syndicated credit facility in excess of $200 million
  • Acted for a borrower in domestic and cross-border syndicated credit facilities of USD $185 million
  • Acted for a chartered bank in a multi-jurisdictional syndicated credit facility of $61 million to a public insurance services and human resources consulting company
  • Acted for chartered banks and borrowers in connection with CMHC insured loans

 Corporate & Commercial 

  • Acted for wealth management firm in the sale of securities worth $70 million 
  • Acted for private equity issuers in limited partnership offerings of up to $100 million
  • Assisted in a multi-jurisdictional share offering worth USD $3 billion 
  • Acted for vendors and purchasers in asset and share divestitures and acquisitions throughout Canada and the United States 
  • Drafted joint venture agreements in connection with the sale of goods and services in South East Asia and North Africa 

Rob’s practice includes commercial real estate, agribusiness, banking and commercial lending, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions as well as negotiating and drafting specialized commercial contracts. Rob has also acted for many clients in the acquisition and divestiture of businesses throughout Canada and in the United States. Rob was seconded to a leading international agriculture company to act as corporate counsel. Rob regularly acts for developers, financial institutions, regulatory bodies, agricultural-related organizations, co-operatives and real estate investment trusts.
