Selena maintains a corporate / commercial practice with a particular focus on corporate finance and securities and mergers and acquisitions.
Selena has extensive experience assisting in initial public offerings, qualifying transaction, reverse take-over transactions, change of business transactions, securities regulatory matters and direct listings on both the TSXV and the CSE. She represents clients in various industries, including technology, mining, retail, private equity and financial services.
Selena obtained her Juris Doctor in 2019 from the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia. She completed her articles with MLT Aikins in 2020 and was previously a summer student in the firm’s Vancouver office in 2018. Prior to attending law school, she completed her Bachelor of Arts at New York University, graduating magna cum laude.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Selena brings a unique perspective shaped by her multicultural upbringing, which included five years spent living in China during her adolescence. Fluent in Mandarin, she values cultural understanding and effective communication as essential tools for building meaningful connections in today’s interconnected world.
