Zoe Baylis, a first-year law student at the University of Saskatchewan College of Law, has been awarded the 2026 MLT Aikins LLP Scholarship in Law in the amount of $7,500. Erin Eccleston, chair of the firm’s student recruiting committee, presented the award to Zoe in a ceremony in September.

“I am so thankful for [donors like MLT Aikins] that take the time to invest in the College of Law and its students, as they not only provide us with so many more opportunities we would not otherwise have, but also reduce the significant financial responsibility that we experience as law students,” Zoe said of receiving the award. “These contributions are life-changing for someone like me who has had to work hard to overcome these financial barriers. As someone who is also dedicated to pursuing further education, even after my legal degree, I am so thankful to be so supported in my journey and love for learning.”

The scholarship, which has been awarded to first-year students for decades, is based on outstanding academic accomplishment by an entering student likely to achieve excellence in the study of law.

Please join us in extending our sincere congratulations to Zoe on this achievement!
